Elizabeth, Empress of R.F’s
orchids at the Farmer’s Market, knows everything about her bower of flowers, but she wonders about all of the customers at the Market. What do they like? What other offerings would enhance the Market? She asked me. I asked around. Here are the comments. Ring around the Market for rosy thoughts and suggestions.
“I particularly enjoy the Italian food and the fresh fruit and vegetables.” – Susie Misini
“I wish the dog treats seller would come back, or someone like her.” – Jerry Fitzgerald
“I love that Ocean Reef is selling beef. Chicken. And seafood…mostly the seafood. Maybe our retailers in Fishing Village could be offered space to sell their inventory. Wish the bakery would bring more bread and less pastry. They always run out of bread early. Love the introduction of tamales. How about some Mexican food?” – Joan Flippin
“I love the pasta man. He makes me three cheese lasagna. And I get extra marinara and meatballs. Delicious quiches, excellent cheeses, rack of lamb was wonderful. So great to have the Market.” – Mary Brady

“I’d love to have lunch with friends at the Market picnic tables. Why not have a sandwich shop where we could pick up lunch and a drink?” – Sandy Henneberry

“My raves are the guacamole and homemade chips, fresh mango salsa, and homemade chicken tamales. They are hidden in a red cooler chest near the guacamole. Heat and serve with cheese, guac. and chopped green onions. Delish!” – Amy Hall McNamara

“The Farmer’s Market is the highlight of the week. Best coffee. Sumatra is my favorite. French pastries, pasta, fresh produce all wonderful. Try different eggplant and cauliflower every week.
