What if I did not receive the Census email?
If you have an email address on file with the Club, you were sent an electronic version of the Census from Ocean Reef News. If you do not have an email on file with the Club, you can go to oceanreef.com/Census or click the link to the Census on the Member home page to be redirected.
Can I take it on my phone?
Yes! You can take it on any device: phone, iPad, desktop computer.
Should the whole family take the Census?
Yes! While some answers will be the same, we also know you enjoy the Club in different ways and it is important to learn about that. The Census was sent to all Equity, Legacy and Social Members with an email in the Membership system.
If I start the Census but have to stop, can I save my answers and go back?
Yes! Click the “SAVE AND CONTINUE LATER” button in the top right-hand corner and answer the prompts. An email will be sent from ALCHEMER, our Census vendor, and you can click the link in the email when you are ready to resume where you left off.
I was in the middle of the Census and didn’t save to continue later, what should I do?
If you did not hit the “Save and Continue Later” button and enter your email, you will have to start over.
I started the Census and answered some questions, is there a way to go back and change my answers?
No, once you move forward in the Census you cannot go back nor can you start over.
I hit the back button on my browser and there is an error screen, can I get back to my Census?
No, due to the manner in which data is collected if you receive the error and had not hit Save and Continue Later, you will need to start over.
I started the Census but can’t remember exact dates and information and am unable to move forward?
While we want to be as accurate as possible, your best guess works as the answer will be blended with other answers and viewed only on a collective basis. There are only a handful of questions that are required so you are able to move ahead on most of the questions if you choose not to answer.
How long will it take me to fill out the Census?
The Census is a lengthy questionnaire and will likely take 30-40 minutes.
Is the Census anonymous?
Yes, it is completely anonymous. The data is being collected by a trusted third-party agency. If you elect to register for the prizes you will be redirected away from the Census and to the Club’s website.
How do I register for the prizes?
When you get to the end of the questionnaire, after the section on our non-profit partners like the Medical Center and Cultural Center, you will be asked if you would like to register. If you click yes, you will be redirected back to the Ocean Reef Club website to enter your email and Member number. It will not be linked to your Census answers.
When is the drawing for the prizes?
Drawings will be weekly on Mondays beginning February 17.
How will I know if I won anything?
Since the drawing is a separate registration, the Club will have access to individual names of winners and will post them in the Ocean Reef Press and on our website along with where winners should go to claim their prizes
When is the Census survey due?
All Census surveys should be completed as soon as possible so that we can begin the analysis. We will send out reminders as we get closer to the closing.
When will we hear the results of the Census?
We will have a brief glimpse at April’s Annual Meeting, but a full report will be available in the fall.
How is the Membership Census different from the Satisfaction Survey?
The Census takes place every five years and reveals much more than just your current Member experience; this study provides the Board and Management with past, present and perhaps most importantly information to help drive decisions well into the future.
Why should I take the Census?
Taking the Census will help us understand the role the Club plays in your life, while learning about the Club and your fellow Members. Participating allows you to take part in decision making and contributing to the future of Ocean Reef.
What are some of the results to come from previous Census reports?
Can I have a written version instead of electronic?
We are not printing the Census but would still like your responses. Please visit our Census Café and there will be an Associate there to assist you with filling it out. If you are unable to attend a Census Café, contact the Membership Office at 305-367-5921 to schedule time with an Associate. Click here for details on the Census Café.
