Cautionary Reminders
More and more Members are out and about throughout the day – pedestrians, cyclists, dog walkers and so many just carting around. Here are a few simple reminders so that everyone can enjoy the outdoors safely.
WALKERS
Those walking should do so FACING TRAFFIC. Please use the walking paths where available and the cart lanes as designated.
BIKERS
Bicycles must travel on the RIGHT SIDE of the road and use the cart lanes where available. They must also have reflectors when riding at night.
GOLF CARTS
Cart traffic is restricted to cart paths or designated car lanes where available. In the absence of a path or lane, carts are required to travel on the extreme right side of the road. Fast carts (reaching speeds of 25mph or higher) should be driven on the roadways.
DOGS
Dogs are getting more and more walks as the house full of humans want to get out for some fresh air. Remember, dogs MUST BE LEASHED when beyond their owner’s property. The Dog Park remains open for off-leash enjoyment. With more walks, there is more waste. Please pick up after your pet and deposit accordingly.
NOISE
Remember, there are more residents enjoying their patios and the outdoors. Whether walking, golfing or carting around be considerate of your neighbors and keep voices and music down.
TRASH
Perhaps everyone is spending more time eating and drinking in carts resulting in a little more trash along the roadways? While out carting and walking, let’s all do our part to keep Ocean Reef looking beautiful.
FARMER’S MARKET & WYNN’S
Ocean Reefers remark how fortunate they are to have both the Farmer’s Market and Wynn’s available (now and always). Keep them both safe, for Members and the employees by limiting the number in your own group shopping at one time and only touching items you plan to buy. Gloves have been made available at both should you need.
These are indeed strange times and just hope to encourage our community to make all situations as safe and comfortable for your fellow Members as well as the employees and associates that continue to provide much needed services.
