Summer Camp for All

The Ocean Reef Club Summer Camp schedule runs for eleven weeks beginning June 3rd and finishes on August 16th.  There are a huge variety of camps for ages 5-17 and three camps offered for adults—really something for all interests. Camps do fill up, so it might be a good time to check your calendar to see what camps would work for your family.

Outdoor Sports
Many of the outdoor offerings concentrate on sports such as tennis, pickleball, golf, and basketball for all skill levels and abilities. The experienced coaches guide beginners through the process of developing basic techniques and teach the more advanced players to compete in a friendly environment at Ocean Reef Club’s outstanding facilities. Sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun are common goals for each camp. Christopher Nelson, Director of Recreation, recently shared that the Field & Fitness Camp is another great way to train for any sport with challenging workouts and games offered.

Creative Indoor Camps
Maybe there is a budding artist, chef, or actor in the family? If so, the Rising Star Theatre Camp is all set for aspiring performers who are talented in acting, singing, and dancing. This camp always concludes with a Talent Showcase and is scheduled for two different weeks this summer. For the culinary crowd, Chef for a Week and Advanced Chef is available for future chefs who have the opportunity to train with talented Ocean Reef chefs in the Carysfort Kitchen. Another possibility is a camp at the Art League, where young artists have a chance to work with a variety of mediums and techniques with professional artists. All of these creative indoor camps are half-day experiences that allow the camper to enjoy other activities the rest of the day.

More Choices
With over 20 different camps scheduled including Reef Club Kids weekly, there are additional specialty camps such as Dive X, Safe Boating, Sailing, Equestrian, Nature Exploration, Reef Discovery, Marine Lab, and Eco-Reef also available throughout the summer.

After Camp Fun
The Reef Rec Room is a perfect option for indoor entertainment after the camp day is over. This summer it is open daily from 4-10 p.m. and is available for ages 7-17. After a busy day, it is a great gathering spot to “chill-out”.
