The Wait is Over – RCK & Nature Center Open Nov. 20

The moment Reef kids (and probably their parents too) have been waiting for is finally here – Reef Club Kids and the Nature Center are scheduled to reopen this month!

After closing to the Coronavirus in March, RCK and the Nature Center are to open their doors on Friday, November 20 with some new guidelines in place.

The Recreation Team is excited to welcome kids back into the facilities, but providing the safest environment possible is a priority. To ensure the health and safety of all Club Members and Associates, the Recreation Team is implementing new policies and procedures to keep everything safe and sanitized.

Associates, children and parents are asked to wear masks at all times, while both inside and outside. All indoor and outdoor touchpoints will be sanitized before and after use. All food will be individually prepared and packaged and Associates will wear gloves whenever handling it.

See below for policies specific to Reef Club Kids and the Nature Center.

Reef Club Kids
At this time, walk-ins are not allowed in Reef Club Kids and you must preregister by contacting Concierge at 305- 367-6516. Parents are asked to drop children off outside and wear masks if approaching the facility. Temperature checking will take place upon arrival. There will be a 14-person maximum in RCK at all times. When traveling in vans, the Recreation Team will sit children in every other seat to encourage social distancing. Per the CDC’s recommendation, cohorts will be monitored and limited to no more than six people and mixing between cohorts will be limited.

Nature Center
A maximum of six people will be allowed in the Nature Center at one time, including both Associates and children, and temperatures will be taken upon arrival. Masks are required by all when inside the Nature Center room and limited hands-on interaction with the animals is permitted at this time.

Reef Rec Room
The Reef Rec Room is not open at this time.

Last But Not Least
The last, but certainly not least important rule is… to have fun! These guidelines are in place to help keep all Members and Associates safe and healthy, but they will not take away from the fun experience our Reef Club Kids and the Nature Center have to offer.

Hours of Operation
RCK and the Nature Center will operate during their normal hours. Reference This Week at The Reef for extended hours over the holidays.
• Reef Club Kids
Fridays & Saturdays 6 –10 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Nature Center
Fridays – Sundays 2 – 5 p.m.

Thanksgiving Week Hours of Operation RCK and the Nature Center will operate with extended hours during Thanksgiving Week.

Monday – Sunday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Friday & Saturday 6 – 10 p.m.
• Nature Center
Monday – Wednesday & Friday – Sunday 2-5 p.m.
