What’s New at the Farmers Market
By Gertrude Mann
Something new for our Market:
We have two expert sushi chefs ready to provide you with your every desire. They will produce poke bowls, sashimi, tuna towers, or any sushi creation you request. Salmon, scallops, yellowtail or tuna are all fresh, local choices. The daily menu board will tempt your palate – let the experts go to work to custom make your next lunch or dinner.
A wonderful addition to our Market is a new fresh bread provider with a variety to suit every taste. Focaccia, ciabatta, sourdough and delicious individual empanadas stuffed with beef, chicken or vegetables await you. The empanadas are pre-cooked and can be eaten as purchased, but pop them in the oven and they are divine. Their focaccia is replete with basil, garlic and red pepper. Come check them out!
Finally, come visit In a Pickle, the brainchild of James and Erica, a couple who love to take any product and use their special pickling brine to turn it into a delectable treat. Their new company is only a year old but has attracted fans and found tremendous success at regional markets with their assortment of pickled vegetables. Come sample some of their unique offerings such as pickled beets, cauliflower, green beans, asparagus, okra, zucchini and carrots…or sample some of their more traditional pickles to enhance your next meal.
Swing by the 121 Marina parking lot any Monday or Thursday to welcome these new purveyors and enjoy our unique Farmers Market.
